This Part of Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton’s Romance Is ‘Crucial for Their Marriage,’ per Insiders

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been plagued with breakup rumors for years now, but time and time again, they hit back at them. And now, insiders are revealing how they keep their marriage strong amid it all.

Insiders recently spoke to Life and Style Magazine, claiming that the pair’s faith is what’s really helping their marriage. The pair “are devoted to God. Their faith centers them and keeps them strong as a unit. Life can get crazy for everyone, but with their careers and fame, it’s that much more intense. A shared belief in a higher power and purpose is crucial for their marriage.”

“Now that’s where they’ll watch live streaming services from her church in L.A. They pray together there as well,” they added. “It would mean a great deal to Gwen to renew their vows in their little chapel.”

Stefani was raised a devout Christian, and still practices today. Per Today, she said, “That was a seed that my mom planted in me when I was a little girl.”

And apparently, Stefani was the one who helped Shelton convert. “I believe in God now more than I ever have in my life,” he said via The Tennessean. “The biggest part of that is just how (Gwen) came into my life and now our relationship. It’s just too weird. If you take God out of it, it doesn’t make sense. If you put God into it, everything that’s happened with us makes sense.”

For those who don’t know, the two have been dating since 2015 after meeting on The Voice, and nearly five years later, in Oct 2020, they got engaged. They later wed in the summer of 2021, when Shelton officially became stepdad to Stefani’s kids from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale named Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.

Despite months of speculation, Stefani did talk about those rumors back in April 2024, telling Nylon: “The truth is I am in love with my best friend.”

“When you’re in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us,” she added.. “You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship — I mean, a week ago we were getting divorced again or something. It’s just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is…”
