Child attacked by dogs in North Linden
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A child is hospitalized after being attacked by two dogs Sunday afternoon in the North Linden section of Columbus, according to police.
The dog attack happened on the 3500 block of Hiawatha Street.
The child -- a boy under 10 -- was taken to a local hospital in "extremely critical condition" by one of the responding officers, according to Columbus Police Sgt. Joseph Albert.
Columbus police said both dogs were shot; one was killed and the other is now in the possession of animal control.
Columbus animal control is investigating the incident. According to Albert, the dogs have been running loose from a house in the area; the dogs do not belong to the victim's family.
