Priyanka Chopra’s Daughter Matli Has the Sweetest Reaction to Seeing a Huge Poster of Dad Nick Jonas
Having famous parents may be normal for Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas’s daughter Malti Marie, 3, but she still gets excited to see her parents in action. Case in point: she recently visited Hudson Theatre where her dad’s new show The Last Five Years is set to open in March, and her reaction was so cute.
The Jonas Brothers singer shared a photo on Instagram of the moment. Malti looks so cute in green floral shorts over tights, with a white cardigan over the top. Her curly brown hair is pulled back with green butterfly clips — she may be a toddler, but she’s a trendsetter! — as she gazes at a huge poster of her dad on the theatre door. Malti stares up at the picture with her arm raised and one finger pointed up at her dad as if she is in awe of seeing Jonas’s larger-than-life photo (we understand, girl!).
He also shared a selfie of him and the Citadel star posing in front of the closed theatre doors, with Chopra Jonas pointing at a huge poster of Jonas’s co-star Adrienne Warren. The last snap is a picture of the sign above the theatre with the musical’s official poster, plus a note saying “14 weeks only.”
“3 week countdown until @thelastfiveyears opens!” the “Waffle House” singer captioned the sweet photos. “So special having the fam with me for our first trip to the theatre today ❤️ @priyankachopra @thelastfiveyears”
Chopra Jonas commented, “????????.”
“Aww Malti is pointing at daddy she’s proud of him ❤️,” someone else commented. Another wrote, “Malti is like ‘my daddy is a superstar!’ ????”
Earlier this month, Jonas told E! News how his family, including brothers Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas, will support him as he embarks on this Broadway musical. “My family will join me for some of this which will be nice,” he said. “And obviously on opening night I think the brothers will come out, and my parents. Having that support is key, especially when you’re doing a project that’s as intense as this.”
“It just really helps ground you and gives you the sort of peace that you need to step into something that is so intense and requires so much of you—not just the work you do on stage, but the emotional part of this as well,” Jonas continued. He also opened up about coming home to decompress with his wife and daughter. “It’s nice to feel like when you go home, you get to sit back on your couch and get those cuddles or whatever else you need to recharge,” he added.
Family support means everything, and we love seeing how happy and excited Malti is for her dad!
