Eagle-eyed Glastonbury fans work out Britpop legends are playing festival after spotting tour date clue
GLASTONBURY fans are convinced huge Britpop legends Supergrass will be performing after spotting a major clue.
The popular music event held at Worthy Farm already has a slew of hit musicians and bands confirmed.
But speculation has been rife over who else will be performing ever since frantic fans raced to purchase tickets in November.
Some eagle-eyed Glastonbury fans are now convinced rock band Supergrass will be taking to the famous Pyramid Stage this summer.
The band consisted of brothers Gaz and Rob Coombes, Mick Quinn and Danny Goffey and Rob Coombes joining in 2002.
The group, which was formed in 1993, mark 30 years since the release of their hit track I Should Coco.
They will be playing multiple venues up and down the UK from May to September.
Supergrass will be performing in Bristol on June 25, just a day before Glastonbury kicks off.
Some fans have now spotted a gap in their tour dates from June 26 to July 3.
Festival-goers are hopeful that the band will make an appearance at Glastonbury over the course of the four day music event, which run from June 25 to June 29.
One reddit fan wrote: “Playing Bristol 25th June. Surely nailed on,” in response to rumours circulating online that they’ll be performing.
Another responded: “Yes please.”
If they were to play at Glastonbury after their Bristol gig, it would only be an hour commute from Bristol Habourside to Worthy Farm.
Supergrass are best known for their hit tracks Lenny, Alright, Going Out, Sun Hits The Sky and Moving.
The Sun previously revealed that pop icons Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Olivia Rodrigo are all set to perform at Glastonbury next year.
They join The 1975, Stevie Wonder and Neil Young who are due to perform on the Pyramid Stage.

Basement Jaxx sparked speculation they will be playing at Worthy Fam after leaving a “Glastonbury shaped gap” in their latest tour schedule.
It came after the hit duo announced their first live shows in 10 years – with gig-goers calling out a key “clue” in the order of their concert dates.
Yet acts including Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Eminem are rumoured to be in the mix.
Canadian songstress Alanis Morrisette and Simple Minds have also been tipped to take to the stage.
The event will run from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday June 29 for 2025.
And now Japanese Breakfast is also tipped to join the lineup for this summer’s festival.
In a Glastonbury forum on Reddit, one user speculated: “Japanese Breakfast has just announced [a] new album and 2025 tour and there is a nice gap for Glasto, so I guess they are quite likely?”
One fellow Redditer then commented: “They were on the schedule for Other on the Sunday in 2023 and cancelled last minute, replaced by Eaves Wilder (who did a great job on short notice).
“So it would be great to see JB this year, and hopefully they’ll be extra motivated given the previous no show.”
OTHER GLASTO 2025 RUMOURS
Other rumours include the likes of the Maccabbees, Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, and Basement Jaxx.
The Maccabees sparked speculation of a reunion back in October of last year and they recently confirmed they are back together and performing as a band again.
The five-piece group, fronted by Orlando Weeks, are already booked to headline a London music festival this summer, but fans think they could also sign up to perform at Glastonbury, with rumours rife online.
