Tiger Bech to be honored during Reese’s Senior Bowl
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Players in the Reese’s Senior Bowl will honor the memory of Tiger Bech, who was tragically killed in the truck attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.
Each player in the Senior Bowl will wear a helmet sticker with the number "7" to pay tribute to Tiger, according to Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy. Nagy shared on X, “Every player in this year’s Reese’s Senior Bowl will have a helmet sticker to honor TCU star WR Jack Bech’s brother, Tiger, who was tragically lost in NYE terror act on Bourbon Street.”
Jack Bech, Tiger’s younger brother and a former LSU wide receiver, will also wear his brother’s No. 7 jersey during the game in Mobile, Alabama. In response to Nagy’s announcement, Jack shared his gratitude for the tribute.
After the tragic loss of his brother, Jack posted on X: “Love you always brother! You inspired me every day now you get to be with me in every moment. I got this family T, don’t worry. This is for us.”
Tiger Bech was a standout football player at St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana, before playing at Princeton University.
The Reese’s Senior Bowl will take place on Saturday, Feb. 1, in Mobile, Alabama, featuring some of the top NFL draft prospects in the country.
