Memories of good time roll on
Others that generated as many or more comments include Bombers Burrito Bar taking out a pro-gay-marriage billboard, a state assemblyman's comically misguided proposal to ban all salt use in restaurants and my account of being assaulted in the parking lot of Creo.

Charades maybe? But by the fourth comment, it has begun to branch off into one of the many directions it will go: And wasn't there a bar called The Cellar on Fuller Road in the '70s? Within a few days the conversation spread again when readers brought up incarnations of other places they remembered fondly:
Greensleeves/the Parc V, the Varsity Inn/Fatso Fogerty's, BBC Videotech, the Rafters, the Mad Hatter at the Thruway House, the Oasis at the Ramada Inn, the Hungry Hermit, Papa Bear Lounge, Flirtations, J.B. Scott's, the Hullabaloo and scores more.
[...] comments have come in small waves, perhaps a half-dozen at a time.
Each round is seemingly prompted by someone discovering the thread via a search engine and feeling compelled to contribute, which spurs additional replies when the new contribution shows up as part of the feed on the front page of the blog.
Imagine that: 26 years after leaving the region, a guy is trolling online and ends up spending a half-hour reading more than 150 comments about bars and bands that almost all exist only in memory.
