Deputies charge Malta man with assault, strangulation
MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Saratoga County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a Malta man on Saturday for felony assault, attempted assault, and strangulation. Dillion Bruno, 22, was charged with first-degree attempted assault, second-degree strangulation, and more.
Deputies responded to the Grand Prix Motel around 5:28 p.m. for an inactive sexual assault that occurred over several days. According to deputies, Bruno is accused of intentionally attempting to cause serious physical injury with a deadly or dangerous weapon to the victim.

Deputies said Bruno violated an order of protection and allegedly committed the offenses after being previously convicted of one of the proceeding charges within the last five years. Bruno is also accused of strangulating the victim in front of a child.
Deputies also reported Bruno is accused of restraining the victim under conditions that exposed the risk of severe physical injury. He was arraigned in Malta Town Court and remains in Saratoga County Jail pending action.
