Albany Police arrest man for possession of handguns
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Albany Police said they took three handguns off the street when they arrested a man near Madison Avenue and New Scotland Avenue on Friday. Michael Broadie, 39, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
Police said an on-duty patrol sergeant was flagged down for a person who possessed a handgun. The officer saw Broadie enter a residence on the 500 block of Madison Avenue carrying a cloth and a bag.
Police stopped Broadie when he left the residence, and while investigating, police found three handguns and cocaine in his possession. Broadie was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court on Saturday and remains in Albany County Jail.
