NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms will rumble through the northern and central
Florida peninsulas tomorrow. Spotty afternoon thundershowers
in the Intermountain West can bring localized damaging wind
gusts to portions of Idaho, northeastern Nevada, western
Wyoming and southwestern Montana. There can be waterspouts
on Lake Ontario. A brief shower or two can dampen upstate
New York, northern Vermont and northern and central Maine.
Farther south, an extended stretch of dry weather will begin
across southern New England and much of the mid-Atlantic.
Temperatures will be below the historical average in the
Great Lakes and Northeast before much warmer air arrives
next week. Record highs will continue to be challenged in
some parts of the Desert Southwest, while cooler air begins
to arrive in the coastal Northwest.
