SSPD: Drug investigation leads to arrest for fentanyl
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Police arrested a Saratoga Springs man for allegedly possessing over five ounces of cocaine, which also contained fentanyl. Police said John Campanella, 55, was charged with second, third, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after police carried out a search warrant on Caroline Street on Wednesday.
Police said investigators seized the cocaine and other narcotics during the investigation. Campanella was arraigned in Saratoga Springs Court Wednesday afternoon.
Police added that the teamwork with the Special Investigations Division brought a significant amount of lethal narcotics off the city's streets.
