Andra Day Reaches New Heights in Brown Platform Boots at BET Awards Media House in Los Angeles

Andra Day attended day two of the BET Awards Media House held on Saturday in Los Angeles. Other notable attendees included Lady London, Cory Hardrict, Eric Benét and Meagan Good, among a slew of other stars.

In a summer-ready style, the “Rise Up” singer wore a pair of platform boots. The chunky style featured matt brown leather uppers, bulbous toes, thick platform soles and block heels that offered Day a substantial boost in height. The singer’s footwear was grunge-inspired, offering her look a welcomed edgy touch. The neutral tone of Day’s footwear also perfectly coordinated with the existing color scheme of her ensemble, creating a cohesive look.

Platform styles are a favorite of many celebrities, Day included. The style’s height-boosting abilities are unmatched, offering the wearer the illusion of length and height in a comfortable manner that cradles the foot, unlike some stiletto styles. In addition to her platform footwear, the “City Burns” singer wore a casual and cool ensemble, keeping it simple for the occasion. Day wore a black oversized graphic tee with Michael Jackson plastered on the front.

The baggy style was accompanied by equally oversized black denim jeans fitted with silver clasps at the hem to raise or lower the hem as needed. Rounding out her look, Day sported large gold hoops, layered gold necklaces and a few matching gold rings.

Day is serving as a presenter during the upcoming 2024 BET Awards held tonight in Los Angeles. The award show will feature performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, Latto, Sexxy Red, Will Smith, GloRilla, Victoria Monet and Lauryn Hill. Usher will be honored with the BET Lifetime Achievement Award.
