The board of trustees at Hudson Valley Community College voted to terminate the school’s president. Dr. Roger Ramsammy had been on paid administrative leave since May 15 after an employee filed a complaint against him. Also, asylum seekers who were sent to the Capital Region, by busloads from New York City, were told they would stay here until the end of the school year and for many, that’s this week. 1. HVCC board fires president after staffer complaint
The board of trustees at Hudson Valley Community College voted to terminate the school’s president. Dr. Roger Ramsammy had been on paid administrative leave since May 15 after an employee filed a complaint against him.
2. 2 dead, 12 hospitalized in Pittstown crash on Sunday
The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office reported that there was a three-car crash in Pittstown on Sunday. This crash happened near the Tomhannock Reservoir and closed down that section of Route 7 for some time.
3. Teenage girls help in water rescue, save man’s life
With summer in full swing, water safety is a top priority around Capital Region lakes and waterways. A team of heroes saved a man’s life after his jet ski overturned on the Great Sacandaga Lake.
