THE TRAITORS star Charlotte Chilton has opened up about her heartbreaking fertility battle – before falling pregnant after a one-night stand with pop star Conor Maynard.
The recruitment consultant, 32, from the West Midlands entered The Traitors on a whim after her marriage to Laura broke down following seven agonising miscarriages and failed IVF.
Charlotte was introduced to TikToker Conor by The Traitors winner Harry Clark following a champagne-fuelled wrap party for the second series of Claudia Winkleman’s BBC murder mystery game.
She was still feeling fragile after splitting up from her wife of seven years but thought the 31-year-old R U Crazy star was a gentleman.
Speaking exclusively to the Sun on Sunday, Charlotte said: “One thing led to another and I ended up spending the night with him.
“We didn’t use protection. He didn’t want to but I thought he’d been careful. The next morning we sent Harry the selfie and he messaged Conor saying, ‘You’re a naughty boy, aren’t you?’.
But six weeks later Charlotte missed her period and picked up a 50p pregnancy test at the supermarket.
Charlotte said she struggled to get pregnant in the past due to her polycystic ovaries syndrome.
She said: “I was flabbergasted as I have polycystic ovaries which means it is hard to get pregnant anyway and I truly believed I would miscarry like I had so many painful times before.
“But as the pregnancy continued and I took further tests and saw my GP, I realised I had to do the right thing and tell him.”
Conor, whose younger brother Jack, 29, was kicked off I’m a Celeb’s 2017 series over racist and homophobic tweets, reacted as Charlotte had expected, saying: “What have we done? What are we going to do?”
He even said: “I only said to one of my mates the other day that I need to get my sperm tested as I’ve never got anybody pregnant before.”
When they spoke the next day, Charlotte told him how scared she was of another miscarriage.

She said: “But then I heard absolutely nothing from him.
“A month later I went for a scan so sent him a picture saying the baby was healthy. I think I said, ‘It’s only a blob… but the cutest blob I’ve ever seen’. He eventually came back with, ‘It is a lot to take in’.
“I felt abandoned and alone. I had a breakdown. I poured myself a large glass of wine and thought, ‘That’s it, I’m getting wrecked. I don’t care. I can’t do this. I can’t lose another baby’.
Her estranged wife, Laura, has even claimed Charlotte was not single when she filmed The Traitors or when she slept with Conor.
Charlotte said: “That is simply not true. And, as for Harry, I’m disappointed, he stopped talking to me the day that I told Conor I was pregnant and even removed himself from our Traitors WhatsApp group.”
Charlotte became known for her striking red lipstick and was finally banished in episode nine with Harry, 22, being crowned the winner and scooping £95,000 by betraying his co-star Mollie Pearce.
Conor is the older brother of CBBC presenter Anna Maynard, who is the long-term girlfriend of The Traitors series two winner Harry Clark.
What is PCOS?
POLYCYSTIC ovary syndrome affects one in five women and has an impact on how ovaries function – meaning sufferers can struggle to release an egg to be fertilised making it often extremely difficult to fall pregnant.

It occurs when the sacs the ovaries sit in are unable to release an egg, which means ovulation doesn’t happen.
Medics don’t yet know what causes polycystic ovary syndrome, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Having polycystic ovaries also increases a woman’s chance of developing type 2 diabetes, depression, high blood pressure and high cholesterol and sleep apnoea later in life, the NHS warned.
Having irregular periods can also increase a woman’s risk of developing womb cancer.
