My mother-in-law is banned from my wedding – we’ve even forked out on security to keep her away, she’s ‘insane’
WE’VE all heard horror stories about mother-in-law’s from hell, but one woman thinks hers is the biggest nightmare of them all.
In fact, bride-to-be Michelle’s loathes hers to such an extent, she’s even gone so far as to ban “insane” Jane from her wedding – and has hired security to keep her away.
And that’s not all – the wedding planner is under instructions to call the police if Jane shows her face, the best man Jesse has resigned from the role AND the groom’s aunt Gail has disowned her nephew for the way he’s been treating her sister.
Michelle says: “My future mother-in-law is insane…I think she’s bipolar.”
And it seems the feeling is completely mutual.
“I don’t like Michelle,” Jane explains. “She’s very disrespectful to me, mean and doesn’t want to share my son with me.”
While it may sound like a story line from EastEnders, it’s the reality for groom Jay and his wife-to-be Michelle whose wedding is well and truly tearing their family apart.
And while Jane insists she had a “very close” bond with her son before he met Michelle, noting they weren’t just a “mother-son” but were “buddies,” Jay, who isn’t able to show his face because of what he does for a living, disagrees.
“My mum acts like we were best friends but that’s just not the way it was,” he says.
And according to Michelle, Jane’s relationship with her son is “inappropriate and sick.”
“She told him on the phone, ‘tell her you love me,'” she claims.
“It got to the point where I couldn’t take her anymore…she’s not invited to the wedding.”
Recalling the moment she first learned she was no longer invited to her only son’s wedding nuptials, Jane says: “I was so angry I couldn’t see.
“I called the two of them and I told him he was marrying a raving “b****.”
Speaking of her phone exchange with Michelle, Jane continues: “The very first thing she said was, ‘why do you want to come to the wedding?’
“I went, ‘Michelle, because he’s my son and because you don’t want me there and I’m not letting you win this battle.'”
But, despite being uninvited, Jane says: “Unless you’re hiring a hit-man, if I decide to come to your wedding I’ll be there” – something which she later admits on US talk show Dr Phil she said in anger.

Sandy
Noting how her son and Michelle took this as a “threat,” Michelle admits: “I have all the security handled.”
Meanwhile, Sandy, the wedding planner, has been briefed with her top duty of the day.
“This is the photo that Michelle gave me to make sure that Jane does not get into the facility,” she says.
“Hopefully it doesn’t come to the point where we’re going to have to call 911.”
But while Michelle’s mum Shannon claims the way Jane treats her daughter is “unacceptable,” adding that her comments are “spiteful and almost hateful,” other family members are quick to defend Jane – and insist Michelle is the one causing the issues.
Speaking of Michelle, Gail, the groom’s aunt, rages: “I hate her for what she’s done to Jane and I hate him for what he’s allowing her to do to Jane.”
Meanwhile, Jesse, the former best man admits: “I’d already resigned my position as best man – anybody who lets someone treat their mother like that is not worth my time.”
After being quested by TV host Dr Phil, Jane confesses to previously telling Michelle to “shut up” and calling her “petty, childish, brat, b**** and a cold-hearted b****.”
She adds that she’s already admitted to the mistakes she’s made to both of them and apologised for things she’s said or done.
However, Jane points out that when her son asked her to apologise to an upset Michelle, despite being hurt herself, she obliged and held out an olive branch – only for her apology to be “rejected.”
But according to Michelle, the apology was “insincere” – something which Dr Phil points out she is also guilty of.
Moments later, he brings up a message that Michelle put on her My Space page about her mother-in-law, alongside a photo of the Wicked Witch of the West.

It reads: “I am so sorry if I have offended you in an way.
“Please accept my most sincere and humble apology.
“Now f*** off and leave me alone!”
While Michelle insists the post was uploaded after numerous times of telling her mother-in-law to stop looking at their page, Dr Phil hits back: “I just kind of feel like common sense needs to make a comeback.
“There’s nothing that your future mother-in-law can say that justifies things that you have said and done.”
Turning to Jane, he adds: “There’s nothing that that they can say that justifies things that you have said and done to them.
“This has just gone into a meltdown – it’s just been a back and forth thing.”

Reading them aloud, he continues: “You’re pathetic, you’ll never be part of Jay’s life because I’m not going anywhere, if you don’t want me to respond, leave my name out of your mouth.
“I’m not jealous you stupid b****, you no longer exist to us.”
While Michelle insists she’s not jealous of her mother-in-law, Jane disagrees and argues: “Yes you are you…you absolutely are.
“What is the reason for you to act the way you’ve been acting? There is no other reason.
“You’re in competition, which is absolutely ridiculous. I’m his mother and you’re going to be his wife…that is two separate things.

Dr Phil concludes by saying that he can’t listen to the pair squabbling any more and offers to provide professional assistance in a last ditch attempt to help the family reconcile.
