SHOPPERS are sprinting to get to their nearest Tesco, eager to check out the retailer’s epic baby sale.

So if you’ve got a little darling, are pregnant, or know someone else who is, you’ll need to listen up.

Whether you need baby towels, bath toys, blankets or duvet sets, you’ll need to check this out[/caption]

With many of our purses feeling tighter than ever before and with the list of baby buys almost endless, luckily for you, Tesco has come to the rescue.

And whether you need blankets, bedding, bath toys, or maybe even a pram umbrella or a children’s rein rucksack, there’s plenty to choose from.

An anonymous Tesco shopper was left open-mouthed by the chain’s impressive discounts – and took to social media to alert others.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a private Facebook group with 2.5 million members, the savvy parent shared a snap of their huge haul, leaving many open-mouthed.

Alongside the post, the bargain hunter advised: “Make sure you check the baby aisles in Tesco.”

The shopper was lucky enough to get their hands on a huge variety of items, including a buggy parasol, buggy blackout, a safari duvet set, a dinosaur duvet and a variety of bath toys.

Not only this, but the bargain hunter also napped bath towels, baby flannels, a dinosaur reins rucksack and an impressive collection of blankets.

The Tesco fan then confirmed: “Got all this for £40 in Tesco Cardiff.”

Thrilled with their finds, the Facebook user continued: “The bag alone is supposed to be £20, so I got a bargain there.”

The shopper later confirmed that the bag had been slashed to just £5, saving an impressive £15.

Not only this, but the shopper explained that the parasol and the buggy blackout were both reduced to just £4 each.

Social media users were open-mouthed at the Tesco buys and many took to the comments to express this.

Big Tesco trip needed

One person said: “What a bargain!”

Another added: “I’ll have a look!”

A third commented: “Big Tesco trip needed.”

Not only this, but one savvy parent shared: “I best get emptying those shelves.”

When do supermarkets put out yellow-sticker bargains?

The time supermarkets reduce their products vary across stores.

Here’s a rough supermarket-by-supermarket guide:

Aldi

Aldi uses a red sticker to show reductions on fresh products such as bread, meat, fruit and vegetables.

This is when they have reached the last day of shelf life.

Red stickered items are most commonly found at opening and closing times.

M&S

Reduction times can vary from store to store but is most likely to occur near closing time.

Asda

Asda told Which? that yellow stickers are applied twice a day – in the morning and evening.

Co-op

Co-op told The Sun its reduced-to-clear prices are generally applied about four hours before the store closes.

Lidl

Lidl has a similar procedure to Asda and Aldi with reductions twice a day.

However individual stores may opt to reduce prices throughout the day.

Morrisons

Shoppers online have said that Morrisons does the best bargains first thing in the morning.

However, the store told Which? that there are no specific times for yellow sticker price cuts.

Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s told The Sun it’s at the store manager’s discretion whether to offer discounts.

However, shoppers have reported that the best deals are in the evening from 6pm.

Tesco

Tesco has said there is no specific time for reduction, but again most people found that prices were reduced from 6pm.

Waitrose

As with most of the other stores, Waitrose shoppers have said the best reductions are found before closing.

However, the store stated that there is no specific time for yellow stickers to be applied.

But you’ll need to move fast before the stock is gone, and at the same time, others tagged their friends and loved ones to alert them to the reduced buys.

One Facebook user asked a loved one: “Keep an eye out if you go.”

Another mentioned a Tesco shopper and penned: “Maybe worth a visit.”

Whilst someone else tagged a friend and wrote: “Need to check the big Tesco.”

Exact dates major supermarkets launch sell-out school uniform deals

SEVERAL major supermarkets and retailers are set to launch their sell-out uniform deals.

Prices for the bundles and offers start at just £5 and some launch as early as next week.

Among the chains offering bargain deals on kids’ uniforms are Aldi, Marks and Spencer, and Tesco.

The big supermarkets tend to put on this kind of deal at the beginning of summer every year.

This is so parents can stock up ready for the start of the new school year in September.

ALDI: Discounter Aldi is bringing back its popular £5 uniform bundle deal this year.

Aldi’s essential bundle costs just £5 and is made up of sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts, trousers, skirts and cargo shorts.

It’s available in stores only from July 4, families will need to act fast because as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone.

ASDA: Asda’s George range offers the following key pieces:

Boys Uniform:

  • 2-pack polo shirt – regular fit or 2pk short sleeves shirt – from £3
  • 2-pack slim leg adjustable waist trousers – from £8
  • 2-pack basic sweatshirt – from £5
  • Black double strap cupsole school shoes – from £10

Girls Uniform

  • 2-pack scallop polo shirt – regular fit or 2 pack short sleeve shirt – from £3
  • 2-pack pleated skirt – from £8
  • 2-pack basic cardigan – from £8
  • 2 pack short sleeve shirts – from £5
  • 2-pack white short sleeve school polo shirts – from £3

M&S: M&S has held prices on its school uniform since 2021 and has confirmed the return of its popular 20% off school uniform early bird offer from July 2.

You can get the discount by shopping online or in stores where uniform is stocked.

Some examples of its range include:

  • From £7 for a 3 pack of 100% responsibly sourced cotton unisex polo shirts, featuring stain-resistant technology
  • From £11 for 2pk Boys’ Slim Leg School Trousers
  • From £12 for 2pk Girls’ Pleated School Pinafores

TESCO: Tesco is bringing back its 25% off uniform deal again this year, the sale starts on July 23.

It doesn’t tend to run for a long time, so it might be a good idea to stock up while you can.

You need to ensure you have your Tesco Clubcard or app when you get to the till so the discount is applied.

Tesco is yet to reveal the exact items available in the offer.

SAINSBURY’S: Sainsbury’s says it has maintained its 2022 prices on its school uniform.

It is said to be introducing its 25% off sale on June 19.

Last year you could pick up two packs of polo shirts starting from £3, trousers from £4 and two packs of gingham dresses from £10 both online and in stores.
