Pumping waves and pumping crowd
Hello Friends,
Sunny skies, 10 kts of west wind, 2.8 metres of 8-10 second SSE swell were coming together nicely at Dee Why. And there were heaps of hopefuls there to enjoy the shoulder to occasionally head high plus waves. Tide was high at 0510 and will drop slightly less than a metre to the low at 1125.
From the look of the forecasts, it should still be solid tomorrow, though not as big as today. And the rest of the week could see waves for the morning sessions, although the trend is for a decline into the waist high range around Wednesday-Thursday as the average periods dip into the sub 10-second range.
Go well, have fun and stay safe!
Weather Situation
A low pressure system to the east of the state is directing near on shore flow whilst a high pressure system centred south of the Bight extends a ridge to the east. A front will move over the Tasman Sea throughout the day making way for the slow-moving high which is expected to become the dominant feature for coming week.
