Driver arrested for DUII after crashing into Reynolds School District bus barn
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUII after crashing into the Reynolds School District's bus barn in Fairview early Saturday morning, authorities say.
Around 2:30 a.m., Gresham police were dispatched to the scene on Northeast 203rd and Glisan Street on report that a truck had crashed through a fence and drove through a shed. Officials say the driver then drove away in the badly damaged truck.
Minutes later, a Gresham officer found the truck on Northeast Glisan Street and 192nd. Based on witness description, officers found the driver and took her into custody on suspicion of DUII and related charges. She was then taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office told KOIN 6 News that a Reynolds School District employee who went to the scene near the time of the crash estimated the damage at $24,000.
The crash also reportedly disrupted power in the area.
