Horrific video shows Sean 'Diddy' Combs beating ex-girlfriend in hotel: CNN
CNN on Friday aired surveillance video footage showing rapper and producer Sean "Diddy" Combs brutally beating then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway.
CNN says that the footage, which was taken in 2016, appears to corroborate descriptions of events that were alleged by Ventura in her lawsuit against Combs that was recently settled.
In the video, Combs follows Ventura out of a room at a since-closed Los Angeles-based hotel, where he throws her to the ground and then kicks her while she's lying on the floor.
After retrieving what appear to be Ventura's purse and suitcase that were nearby, Combs then kicked Ventura again as she lay motionless on the ground.
He then attempted to drag Ventura back toward their hotel room.

As CNN notes, the footage matches with Ventura claiming in her lawsuit against Combs that in March 2016 he became "extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye" and that he "grabbed at her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape."
Despite quickly settling Ventura's lawsuit, Combs through an attorney denied that the settlement was at all an admission of guilt on any of the charges leveled against him.
