Nearly 8,000 runners take part in 2024 CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Nearly 8,000 runners and walkers took part in the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge on Thursday.
On the men's side, Ryan Udvadia from The Pool Company in Latham took home the top prize. He finished with a time of 17 minutes and 19 seconds. On the women's side, Nicole Moslander with Capital District Beginnings won with a time of 19 minutes and 45 seconds.
Udvadia said he has won this event multiple times and enjoys racing in it every year.
"This is my third time winning," he said. "I was second twice before in the past, so it's exciting to come out here and take first, and there is always great competition here so racing against these guys is a lot of fun, too."
Race officials said more than $20,000 was raised for local charities Wizard's Wardrobe and Reeling for Recovery.
