Inside Strictly star Saffron Barker’s impressive home she built – with laundry shoot and home cinema
STRICTLY Come Dancing star Saffron Barker has opened the door to her incredible home – and fans are going wild for its laundry shoot.
The YouTube star, 23, gave in to pressure from her followers to record a video inside the house – and it certainly doesn’t disappoint.
Saffron designed and oversaw the renovation of her £1million property, which even features four secret doors.
One of these forms part of a wall of fitted wardrobes, but it actually leads to a swish and modern bathroom.
Giving a tour in an Instagram video, Saffron then reveals her favourite feature of the bathroom – a laundry shoot.
All the star has to do is lift open a lid and chuck her dirty washing straight down a hole into the utility room below. It lands in a cupboard positioned directly above her washing machine.
Saffron, who appeared on Celebrity Hunted last year, says: “The coolest thing about my bathroom is actually my laundry shoot.
“This I think is actually the best thing ever invented. It actually cost me no more, obviously I just needed a laundry room that sat underneath my bathroom.
“But it requires minimal effort. I just love it. I’m used to just leaving clothes on the floor, so it’s just so great.”
Fans have gone wild for her quirky addition, with one commenting: “You know you’re getting older when the laundry shoot is the most exciting part of this tour. Need.”
Another added: “Babe that laundry shoot is just everything.”
And a third chimed in: “Omg having a laundry shoot would actually make me enjoy laundry!”
Another hidden door in Saffron’s house leads to a soundproof cinema room, with plush grey carpet, red mood lighting and comfy leather recliner chairs.
Saffron explains: “I sit here most evenings with all my friends!”
Elsewhere, Saffron has a massive floating staircase with illuminated glass banisters as a centrepiece in her open-planned home.
She also has a glass floor on her landing, which she admits she got inspiration for when visiting properties to purchase.
Eventually, Saffron decided to buy an old house which she knocked down and rebuilt – before adding in her own glass floor.
The influencer bought her property in February 2021 and work got underway that August.
The star was even photographed hanging out of a mini digger as the rear of the house was pulled down ready for a brand new extension.
Saffron has promised fans with another video of her house if she gets enough likes for this one from her followers.
Meanwhile, Saffron – who appeared in the 2019 series of Strictly Come Dancing – recently confirmed she is single.
She had been dating rugby player Louis Rees-Zammit but announced their break-up in March.
Saffron wrote online: “I have so much exciting news to update you on, and I promise to keep you all posted on that.
“For now though I wanted to address some of the questions re my relationship. Whilst I won’t be going into any detail, I am no longer in a relationship.
“I am fully focused on my well-being, wonderful family, & career. I want to thank all of the incredible people who have sent me messages of love & strength over the past few weeks.”
The couple had only made their first red carpet debut together just four months previously at the premiere for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.
