Naomi Campbell Poses in Pointed Pumps for ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ Premiere at Cannes Film Festival
Naomi Campbell attended the “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” red carpet at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals in the South of France on Wednesday in a pair of sleek black pointed-toe pumps.
Cannes Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries, from all around the world and brings out many A-list celebrities to its many different premieres. For these types of events, the legendary supermodel is known to go bold with her footwear choices. In September, she attended Burberry’s spring 2024 show during London Fashion Week in a pair of Houndstooth pumps that featured a pointed-toe, tassel embellishments on both sides of the vamp and a stiletto heel that was about 4 inches tall.
That same month, she was spotted at Boss’ spring 2024 show held in Milan wearing a pair of black leather loafer-style heels that featured wild crocodile-embossed tongues. The footwear was comprised of triangular pointed toes that transitioned into glossy patent leather uppers and supportive neutral arches that acted to cradle the runway regular’s feet. Campbell also prefers boots within her rotation. Last June, she attended Louis Vuitton‘s spring 2024 menswear show in a pair of brown leather knee-high boots coated with Vuitton’s signature monogram, creating a head-to-toe monochrome moment.
About the shoes
Campbell opted for a glossy pair of angular pointed pumps to attend the “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” premiere on Wednesday. The shoes were crafted in patent leather material, and defined by a sharp angular pointed-toe structure, highlighted by its all-black colorway. While the back of the shoes couldn’t be seen completely due to Campbell’s, it’s like the pumps featured a stiletto heel ranging between 4 and 5-inches based on her previous shoe preferences, and love for super tall footwear models.
About pointed-toe pumps
Pointed-toe pumps are regarded as a preferred shoe for red carpets and formal occasions. Various designers including Chanel and Valentino offer pointed-toe models regularly as a part of their catalog. The popularity of the slim and chunky stiletto heels with an angular toe-box has started to re-emerge again in the 2020s. In 2024, the style trended on an upward swing with stylists recommending pointed shoe to achieve simple and classic looks for spring and summer. It is expected to continue to be a major trend throughout the remainder of 2024.
