NYSP: Troy man arrested after car pursuit
EASTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police arrested a Troy man following a car pursuit on State Route 40 in Easton on May 13. Kevin Penadicent, 19, was being pulled over for a vehicle and traffic law violation on May 12 just before 11 p.m., when he allegedly failed to comply and a pursuit was initiated.

- Unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle
- Second-degree reckless endangerment
- Numerous vehicle and traffic law violations
Police say that during the pursuit Penadicent recklessly sped and turned off his headlights to avoid being caught and troopers lost sight of the car during the pursuit. Law enforcement reports finding Penadicent and a passenger in the car off the roadway a short distance later. Penadicent allegedly crashed into and severed a utility pole before stopping at a field nearby.
Penacident was arrested and released. He was issued an appearance ticket and will return to Easton Town Court on June 20.
