I fear my mother was right about a makeup hack for a sunkissed glow – put the Rare Beauty down, my drugstore buy’s $9.99
IF you’re someone who has a sunkissed glow for most of the summer, this hack may be for you.
Avoid a common bronzer mistake with a budget beauty buy that will level up your makeup.
In her viral video, Miranda (@mirandawillcry) revealed the unusual product she uses to shape her face.
She explained that her mother shared the tip with her, but she joked that she never wants to admit that her mom is right.
According to the TikToker, “nothing hits as hard” as using lipstick to sculpt your cheeks, “especially for my fair-skinned girls.”
“When we get sunkissed it’s not brown, it’s pink,” Miranda told her followers.
Miranda demonstrated her technique using the $9.99 Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade Smoky Rose.
She applied the lipstick to her upper cheeks, blending down to the apple.
“Put the Rare Beauty down, put your wallet away, [this is] $9.99 at the drugstore,” she said.
The lipstick-as-blush trick has made the rounds on social media before, including from TikToker M.T. (@thegoldcoastermt), whom Miranda credited.
In a video posted this week, M.T. filmed herself using lipstick on her cheeks and as a nose contour.
One fan gushed that M.T. “changed her life” with the hack.
“So stoked to see more lipstick as blush!” she replied.
A beauty expert at Her Zindagi broke down the dos and don’ts of using lipstick as a contour.
“The texture of the lipstick is crucial to consider,” the makeup pro explained.
“If the lipstick has a creamy texture like more of your beauty products, the contouring lines will blend effortlessly.”
They added that this is the best way to ensure your finished look does not “appear patchy.”
