McDonald’s is making a major change to menus including new burger and returning fan favourite

MCDONALD’s has announced a major change to its menus which will feature a whole new burger and a returning favourite.

The fast-food giant is kicking things off this summer with limited-edition items and a total of eight new items on menus.

The new summer menu will drop in restaurants on May 29, 2024.

An exciting new addition will be coming to menus will be the Hat Trick.

This is a brand new burger which with two beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard and ketchup all in a glazed sesame seed bun.

They will be in McDonald’s restaurants for £5.89 and you get it in a medium meal for £7.69.

Fan favourite mozzarella bites are coming back! Offering a warm and gooey centre encased in a golden crispy coating, the perfect indulgence with a rich tomato dip.

You can nab them in restaurants for just £2.39.

If chicken selects are your go-to a new 9 Chicken Selects Sharebox will be coming to menus for £8.49.

And for those of us who need a little more to fill our tummies the fast food chain will soon be selling a McDonald’s Chicken Sharebox for £10.59.

Inside you’ll find six Chicken Selects, twelve Chicken McNuggets, plus two McNuggets dips and two Selects dips.

McFlurry’s will be getting sweeter this summer as ice cream fans will be able to pick up a Skittles McFlurry.

It’s a soft dairy ice cream swirled with chewy Skittles fudge pieces and sugary pearls, topped with purple Skittles-flavoured sauce.

Caramel McFlurry’s will also be returning to menus.

For those who favour a hot dessert, discover the Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie – a delicious combination of smooth chocolate and sweet fruit.

The pie has a crispy chocolate pastry filled with smooth chocolate ganache and a delightful raspberry compote.

Coffee lovers have also not been left out the popular Iced latte is coming back to menus.

You can get a refreshing pick-me-up in restaurants for £2.49.

How to save money at McDonald’s

You might not think it, but you can end up being charged more solely based on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.

Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.

Meanwhile, you can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 by filling in a feedback survey found on any old McDonald’s receipt.

The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.

You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.

Make sure you check out all the various apps and platforms if you’re ordering McDonald’s to your home too.

Our research found some can charge up to £1.20 more than others.

If you’re planning on taking a trip to McDonald’s, you’ll want to know where your nearest branch is.

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.

Bear in mind that McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am.

After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.
