Nintendo Switch fans are furious as popular 84-rated will soon be delisted
OLDER games can be delisted from online storefronts, often due to publishers losing certain licenses.
This can be for smaller elements of the game like product placement or certain licensed songs, but it can also happen when a game changes hands.
Shin Megami Tensei V will soon be delisted from the Switch store[/caption]However, sometimes publishers remove their own games that they no longer wish to sell.
This seems to be the case with a game for the Nintendo Switch, as Atlus announced that one of its recent titles would soon be delisted from the platform.
Those who have already purchased it, or purchase it before the deadline, will still be able to play it.
However, after the date it will no longer appear when searching the Nintendo eShop.
You won’t need to download it before the deadline – as long as you have purchased it and it’s part of your account library, then you can download and play it at any time.
Shin Megami Tensei 5 will be delisted from Nintendo Switch in just under a month, on June 13.
In a statement on Twitter, Atlus said: “The original Shin Megami Tensei 5 Digital Standard, Digital Deluxe, and all associated DLC will be delisted from the Nintendo eShop on June 13.
“Previously purchased physical and digital versions will remain playable and re-downloadable after this date.”
Atlus seems to have made the decision to delist the game as it prepares to release the updated version.
Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance will launch the day after the original version is delisted from the store.
This is an upgraded version that features quality-of-life changes, as well as an alternate route with a different ending.
