An Amazon shopper shared the budget beauty buy that she swears by.
Commenting on a Reddit post, user Comfortable_Fly8264 broke down her go-to tips for makeup dupes.
She began by revealing the affordable eyeshadows she usually opts for.
“Colourpop Super Shock Shadow is maybe not better but as good as the Urban Decay single shadows,” she said.
The $7 budget-friendly eyeshadow is available in a wide variety of colors.
Urban Decay’s single eyeshadows are available from Ulta for $22 to $24.
The original poster also shared her favorite glitter eyeshadow options.
“Elf Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow is a superior dupe to Stila Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow, at a quarter the price,” she said.
The brand’s $6 metallic eyeshadow is an affordable alternative to the $25 Stila eyeshadow, available at Sephora.
Speaking about whether or not to splurge on expensive mascara, the Redditor said she didn’t think it was worth it.
“Never, unless it makes you happy but don’t buy high-end mascara in hopes it will perform better,” she warned.
“I spent like $50 on one tube of Tom Ford Mascara and it mostly just annoyed me.”
She recommended the $11 L’Oreal Paris Makeup Telescopic Original Lengthening Mascara over the $50 Tom Ford Extreme Mascara.
“Mascara primer, even a drugstore one, a heated eyelash curler, a growth serum, and the Telescopic Length will get you so much farther than Tom Ford could ever,” she explained.
Finally, she revealed one of her favorite budget-friendly lip gloss options.
“NYX Butter Lip Gloss is just amazing and not a dupe that I’m aware of,” she said.
