Portal News: Christian Reeves Chooses Clemson
We’re sorry to see him go but what can you say but good luck?
There was a time not all that long ago when ACC schools had a gentleman’s agreement not to allow intra-conference transfers.
That’s long over of course and college fans will just have to get used to it (it’ll be different if and when there is a transfer between Duke and UNC though).
So just as we got used to Michael Gbinije at Syracuse (though he transferred just before the Orange joined the ACC and sat out a year as one did then), we’ll have to get used to TJ Power at Virginia Tech and now Christian Reeves at Clemson.
Reeves announced for the Tigers on Thursday and though it won’t be fun to compete against him, it’s probably a smart choice.
We’ve said many times that Brad Brownell is a superb talent developer and our guess is that he’ll do a solid job with Reeves.
Plus it’s not all that far from his hometown of Charlotte, NC - about the same drive as it would take to get to Durham - so his family should still have plenty of chances to see him play.
We won’t pull for him when Clemson plays Duke, but otherwise? Yeah. He seems like a good teammate and we hope this works out wonderfully for him.
