I transformed my garden into a pink haven using cheap buys from Home Bargains and Temu – the shower curtains make it pop
A SAVVY woman has been flooded with compliments after revealing how she transformed her garden into a stunning pink haven.
And for anyone looking to spruce up their gardens ahead of the warmer weather, then you’re in luck…because the clever homeowner named Claire Alexandra has revealed exactly how she achieved the “stunning” look.

Speaking to Fabulous Digital, the DIY whizz explained how firstly, she had a bespoke pergola and decking fitted to allow a covered seating chill out area.
She then fitted a slate base in the corner of the garden that gets the most sun, which is now the perfect spot for her sun loungers.
Claire, who initially shared her garden makeover on Facebook group Gardening On A Budget Official continued: “We wanted to close off some areas of the pergola sides to make it more private so we added the green flowered mesh with the pink roses from Amazon around the inside timber frame of the pergola.
“We used an artificial cherry blossom hanging garland to cover any cabling for our lighting/CCTV that’s fitted.”
But perhaps the best part of all is Claire’s genius use of a shower curtain…
“I had the idea of using shower curtains across the front around the pergola posts, which we tied with magnetic tie backs and rope, both from Amazon,” she said.
“And we added the neon pink planters, too.”
Claire revealed that the pink artificial rose hearts cost £9.99 both from Home Bargains, while the cushions were £15 from Temu.
She also paid £50 for the disco balls which were from a site on Facebook, and £120 for the large pink geometric waterproof rug which she snapped up from eBay.
She added: “The fence triangular planters and large corner planter are made bespoke out of decking boards.”
So it’s little surprise the Facebook post was quickly inundated with comments from very impressed social media users.
“That is so beautiful!” praised one.
How To Make Your Small Garden Look Bigger
Garden design expert Fiona Jenkins from MyJobQuote.co.uk has created a guide on how to make your small garden look larger.
Add shelves – for additional storage and place to hold more plants.
Use foldaway furniture – to take up less space when not in use.
Add privacy – with fencing, trellis, brick walls or hedging.
Add a water feature – to make your garden seem like a natural retreat.
Go bright – when choosing plants, opt for bold colours to make the space pop.
Use large planters – to get more plants in less space.
Plant vertically – add plants upwards to make your garden seem fuller, and therefore, bigger.
Use blue flowers at the edges – blue flowers and plants recede into the distance and make the garden appear bigger.
Grow tall plants – it’s better to think big when it comes to a small garden.
Keep clutter a minimum – as it can give the illusion of less space than there actually is.
A second enthused: “So cute it’s like Barbie’s world!”
“I love it!” added a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth chimed in: “Wow stunning!”
And a further added: “Absolutely beautiful!”
