EASTENDERS’ Elaine Peacock has made a devastating discovery about George Knight.
The Queen Vic landlady – who is played by actor Harriet Thorpe in the BBC soap – has been struggling to support George after he found out he suffers from a boxing injury that means one more hit could kill him.
But she has no idea he is still trying to fight and putting his life at risk.
George’s ex-wife Cindy has tried to stop him from fighting more and arranged therapy for him, but George fled instead.
Cindy ended up sneaking into the Vic to take one more crack at making George see sense.
Sneaking by Elaine in the barrel and Anna on TikTok proved easy for a woman of Cindy’s talents and she made her way upstairs to confront George.
“I am not going to lose my girls over this and I am not going to be the bad guy for trying to save your life,” she raged.
“Nobody can help you George unless you help yourself.”
But hearing that George planned to fight again – despite it meaning he could die – she was horrified.
“You can’t fight,” she said.
“You heard what the doctor said – one more punch and it will kill you. It will destroy our girls.”
But as George insisted he needed to fight – and not therapy – Cindy felt she had no choice but to do everything she could to stop him.
“Then I’ll tell Elaine about our kiss,” she said.
“I don’t want to blow up our lives anymore than you do but if it means our girls get to keep their dad.”
However George didn’t care.
“Go on then, tell her,” he said. “I don’t care. Do whatever you want.”
