Shoppers are racing to the supermarkets to get their hands on ‘perfect for summer’ pieces from as little as £16
GRAB your trolley, as supermarkets are the place to be right now if you’re looking to update your wardrobe for summer.
Not only is there a multitude of purse-friendly pieces across all of the big supermarkets, but they’re so good people will be shocked to find out you got them while picking up your potatoes!
With many of the pieces under £20, you can find summer staples such as classic ribbed vests, denim shirts and wide leg trousers.
But there are also cute raffia bags, suede wedges and gladiator sandals.
Waistcoats are still set to be huge this summer and the supermarkets have the trend covered, along with smart suiting, cool linen and, of course, a great pair of jeans – for just £22.

George at Asda
Double denim is having a moment, with searches up 48% in the past week, and there’s no better place to get it than the supermarket.
George at Asda has a wide range of denim options, including shirts and jeans, so you can go all “Canadian tuxedo” and double up!
For just £22 each, these pieces will be great assets to your wardrobe.
The jeans are an on-trend wide-leg fit, while the shirt is the perfect shade of denim.

Marks & Spencer
It’s worth a visit to M&S if you’re looking for some stylish, comfortable and practical pieces for your summer wardrobe.
With everything from smart basics that will stand the test of time, to stylish pieces that are a must-have for your holidays, you’ll be adding to basket in no time.
These patterned wide-leg trousers are lightweight and super-easy to wear – paired with some wedges and a raffia bag, it’s the perfect look as we head into the warmer months.
Adding a pop of colour to an otherwise neutral outfit with agreen bag adds some fun to the look.
Tu at Sainsbury’s
Waistcoats are still big this season, and this stylish one from Tu at Sainsbury’s is just £22.
You can either wear as seen here on its own for a more fomral occasion, or add a top underneath and keep it open when you’re feeling more casual.
Denim midi-skirts are also here to stay for summer, and this cream version is a new take on the classic blue.

Morrisons own brand of clothing Nutmeg is also only available in store, so it’s worth popping in for a browse – there are loads of lovely summer items for around £20.
This blue-and-white floral wrap top is just £17.
The V neckline and tie detailing means that it’s super-flattering for all shapes.
The fabric is also really lightweight, so you won’t get too hot when the temperatures rise.
Pair with super-comfortable linen trousers – the dark shade makes a welcome change from normal beige.

I love shopping at the supermarkets, over the past few years whilst certain high street stores have folded the style down the aisles has gone from strength to strength.
Now when I head in to do my weekly food shop I always have to make a pit stop at the clothing section to see what’s new in.
Not only are the pieces at a great price, but the supermarkets in my opinion have really nailed what their customers want.
From core wardrobe staples, good quality denim, pretty dresses and fun accessories they really have everything covered.
These days I only buy my jeans from the supermarkets having pairs from both Tu at Sainsbury’s and F&F at Tesco.
And to me there’s no better feeling than someone complimenting your outfit for you to tell them it’s from a supermarket.
Last week I picked up a gorgeous black crossbody bag from Sainsbury’s at just £14 and I’ve had so many people tell me it looks a lot more expensive.
Working in fashion I get to see and feel a lot of clothes and I can tell you that the quality of the pieces from these shops are great, especially for the price.
