An all-Iranian cast stars in Sanaz Toossi’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “English,” the story of four Iranian adults studying to take a language exam which they see as the key to their future. “Ancient Huasteca: Goddesses, Warriors & Governors” includes more than 130 artifacts that highlight roles of women in the Mesoamerican civilization known as the Huasteca. The summer session of the Chicago Film Society is underway with its eclectic roster chosen from throughout film history.
