'Called me repeatedly that night': Stormy Daniels' friend backs up her account of Trump
Alana Evans, an adult film star close to Stormy Daniels, vouched for her longtime friend's testimony on the witness stand against Trump on CNN Wednesday.
Evans, now the president of the Adult Performance Artists' Guild, was allegedly propositioned by Trump to make his night with Daniels a three-way. His alleged adulterous relationship with Daniels, and specifically the hush payments he's accused of illegally concealing to prevent voters in 2016 from learning about it, is the focus of the criminal trial in Manhattan.
Before questioning Evans, CNN's Jake Tapper read out the transcript from the examination in court. "Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger, Stormy Daniels on the stand, quote, did you end up calling your friend Alana from the hotel room? Answer, yes. Did you put her on speaker? Answer yeah. What, if any, conversation did you and Mr. Trump have with Alana on speaker? Answer, he said hello, which meant that I won that bet. She said, what are you guys doing? And he said we're just hanging out, why don't you come over and hang out with us. And she, I can't remember what kind of excuse she made."

"Can you vouch for that story, that call and conversation happened?" Tapper asked. "Because Donald Trump obviously denies it any of this occurred."
"Absolutely," said Evans. "Not only did the call happen, I had met with Stormy earlier that day when she filled me in on the moments of meeting Donald for the first time at the golf tournament that started all of this."
"Were you also the friend that Stormy Daniels called from the bathroom, but wasn't able to get through and got voicemail?" asked Tapper.
"That would be me," Evans confirmed. "Stormy called me repeatedly that night, of course, calling me on speakerphone with Donald, where I was invited by him as well to join them, and I panicked at that point, I turned off my phone, decided it was a better decision for me to stay in that night instead of joining them."
