Four men charged in connection with numerous reports of illegal dumping in Hartford
Four men are facing charges in connection with numerous reports of illegal dumping in Hartford, police said.
In recent months, members of the Southwest Community Service Unit and Capital City Crime Center have investigated numerous reports of illegal dumping in the Parkville neighborhood of Hartford, specifically in area of Bartholomew Avenue and Wellington and Olive Streets, according to the Hartford Police Department.
Items such as mattresses, box springs, construction debris and piles of tires were found in the area, police said.
Through an investigation, multiple suspects were identified and arrest warrants were applied for and granted, according to police.
Four Hartford men turned themselves in to police without incident. Three of the men — 45-year-old Loinell Keith, 64-year-old Craig Batchelor and 25-year old Tiago Fernandes Da Silva — were each charged with illegal dumping of litter/garbage and illegal dumping bulky/hazardous waste. Noel Cruz, 51, was charged with illegal dumping of litter/garbage.
