City of Troy announces 2024 hydrant flushing program
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- From Wednesday to Tuesday, the city of Troy will conduct its hydrant flushing program. Water main and hydrant flushing is to be conducted during regular working hours except in the business district.
Residents may experience water discoloration and possibly reduced water pressure during the flushing, but it is temporary. The city also advises residents to avoid washing their clothes during the program's operations.

Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Pleasantdale to 101st Street
Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- 101st Street to Federal Street from Hudson River Street to 10th Street
- Eddy's Lane to Hialeah Drive and Gurley Avenue
Thursday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Federal Street to Ferry Street from Hudson River Street to Eighth Street
Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Ferry Street to Water Street
- Frear Park to Beman Park and Peoples Avenue
Monday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Peoples Avenue to the Poestenkill Creek
- East side of Poestenkill Creek to Maple Avenue
- West side of Pawling Avenue
- Mill Street
- Crestwood Avenue
- Stow Avenue
Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Sycaway Avenue to Poestenkill Creek
