Schenectady PD arrest two following incident on Crane Street
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Schenectady Police announced that two people have been arrested in connection to an incident near Crane Street on Tuesday. Wendell Boone, 39, and Catoria Pittman, 35, are both facing multiple charges.
On May 7 around 1:01 p.m., police responded to the 900 block of Crane Street following a report of a fight between a man and a woman allegedly involving a gun being fired, all while reportedly in the presence of a baby. Officers arriving to the scene started to search the area for suspects, eventually finding and detaining Pittman around 2:31 p.m.
It was reported on the scene that the man involved in the dispute had entered a nearby apartment while attempting to evade law enforcement. Schenectady Police continued to search for the man throughout the day and into the evening after receiving reinforcements from state police and surrounding agencies.
Officers located Boone laying between buildings in the area around 9:41 p.m., arresting him without further incident. A loaded handgun was reportedly recovered during the search.
According to police, Boone and Pittman know each other, and their two-year-old child was allegedly present during the initial dispute. They now face the following charges:

Schenectady Police stated that the child is safe at this time. Schenectady County Child Protective Services is providing assistance in the case.
