Elf’s Camo Liquid Blush is the best Rare Beauty Pinch Blush dupe I’ve found – here’s why I love the budget alternative
RARE BEAUTY had us in a chokehold the moment Selena Gomez launched her beauty brand.
Though it took a while longer for the beauty label to launch in the UK after it dropped in the US, it has garnered sell-out success, particularly the Soft Pinch Liquid Blushes.

Rare Beauty‘s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush retails for £22 and is available to shop from various stockists, including Rare Beauty‘s main website, Sephora, Space NK, and Feel Unique.
But if you are looking for an affordable alternative to shop instead of forking out over £20 on the Rare Beauty blusher, e.l.f. cosmetics has a very similar dupe, which has got our seal of approval.
The e.l.f. cosmetics Camo Liquid Blush is an affordable alternative to the Rare Beauty design, retailing for just £7 from Superdrug.
We have put both products to the test, and can vouch for how similar they are.

But first, let’s get into the details.
Rare Beauty’s Liquid Blush is available to shop in an impressive 13 shades, ranging from a soft dusky pink rose hue to coral shades, bold red and deep plums to suit all skin tones.
The Rare Beauty blushers are divided into dewy shades, which include Joy, Happy, Lucky, Grateful, Hope, Encourage, Believe, Worth, and Virtue, as well as matte shades, Bliss, Love, Grace and Faith.
The liquid blushers are formulated with floral ingredients, including white waterlily, gardenia and lotus, for a lightweight but flawless finish and potent colour pigment.
Rare Beauty’s blusher is also cruelty and paraben-free, as well as vegan.
Plus, it has been dermatologically tested and approved for sensitive skin.
Similarly, e.l.f. cosmetics prides itself on sharing the same eco-conscious sentiment, as it too is a vegan and cruelty-free brand.
The e.l.f cosmetics Camo Liquid Blush is also a liquid formula – hence the name – and boasts a strong pigment too.
While it may not come in as many shades as Rare Beauty, it comes close as the blusher is available in nine shades, which are very similar to those from Rare Beauty.
So how do they compare? In short – very similar.
We saw plenty of reviews from shoppers likening the e.l.f cosmetics product a close dupe of Rare Beauty, so we had to put it to the test.
First up, Rare Beauty.
I have tried numerous Rare Beauty products, and I am completely obsessed with the brand, and every product I have tried. The Liquid Blushers glide on the skin seamlessly and inject a much-needed pop of colour into my skin.
The Rare Beauty blushers are pigmented and a little goes a long way, but they are also buildable, which is ideal for days you want to “look alive” and fresh-faced it will be my one make-up product, but on more glam occasions I will dab a little extra on.
The e.l.f Camo Liquid Blush is the same.
It has a stronger pigment than Rare Beauty, and a little goes a long way, which is perfect for those who don’t want to keep spending on new make-up every other month.
Both formulas are lightweight on the skin and give a second-skin feel, almost like I am not wearing anything at all.
Both products are equally as easy to blend, on bare skin, over moisturiser, and even on a full make-up base.
Though, when I have tried to apply the liquid blushers over a powder bronzer it hasn’t sat particularly well and smudged.
While Rare Beauty has more colours to choose from, and some of e.l.f’s colours look extremely vibrant, they blend into a natural shade – so do not be put off by the initial packaging.
I only add two to three blobs on my cheeks, and blend any excess product onto my eyelids, with either a brush or my fingers.
What I did notice is those two or three dabs were sufficient for e.l.f’s Camo blusher, whereas Rare Beauty’s version needed a little top-up, depending on the colour you choose and your desired look.
I prefer a subtle pop of colour, almost like a little rose flush, but I found that blending the Rare Beauty blushers, while pigmented when they are first on, seems to blend out the colour slightly, so you do need to apply more.
That said, the applicators are large so I found applying two dots, blending, then layering with a few more, and repeating the process, was the best for Rare Beauty blushers.
While the Rare Beauty blushers are bold and are a strong pigment, if you want a more visible blush like me, I would suggest going for a deeper, or bolder hue, than you would usually to see that colour more so.
Unfortunately, I found the Rare Beauty blusher would slide off and fade throughout the day, whereas, e.l.f. cosmetics did last longer on my skin.
Both products are non-sticky or greasy, though the Rare Beauty blusher I sampled had a more velvet finish, while e.l.f cosmetics has a dewy look.
Yes, you do get more formula in the Rare Beauty blushers at 7.5ml, whereas e.l.f’s Camo Liquid Blushers are 4ml, but as I previously mentioned a little does go a long way so both products can last months.
If you’re looking for an affordable Rare Beauty Blush dupe then you can’t go far wrong with e.l.f’s Camo Liquid Blush in my eyes.
