Leeds to retain Stuart Dallas' services
During a recent Supporter Advisory Board meeting, Leeds Utd retaining his services, but not as a player! Chief Executive Angus Kinnear revealed the club were in talks with Stuart Dallas regarding staying on at the club. The 33 year old retired from professional football last month, two years after breaking his leg against Manchester City. Subsequent knee issues made it impossible for the former Northern Ireland International to return to action, and called time on his nine year Elland Road career, two caps short of his 250th appearance for the Whites!
Kinnear wasn't clear on what the club had lined up for Stuey, but it would make sense that with his experience, both as a mentor for the youngsters and as a player himself, a coaching role at Thorp Arch would make sense.
Stats are not on Leeds side
Leeds Utd will have to achieve something that has never been done before, if they want to win promotion back to the Premier League. With four losses from their last six games, the form that Daniel Farke's side are showing is that of relegation, 22nd to be precise. No Championship side in the history of the play-offs has ever won promotion after such a terrible run of form during the season finale as LUFCDATA explains...
Taken a look at the form (last 6) of every second tier side that has been promoted through the play-offs in a 46-game season and included this year’s contenders. An average points return of 11.6 (Leeds have 4). No side has ever been promoted after 4 defeats in their last 6.
