Police make arrest after Crane Street shots fired report
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Schenectady Police have made an arrest in the Crane Street shots fired incident that happened Tuesday around 1:00 p.m. Schenectady Police have not released the name of the suspect at this time.
Around 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Schenectady Police responded to Crane Street for reports of an altercation and shots fired. Police spoke with people in the area and established a perimeter.
Police also contacted local Schenectady City Schools to place them on lockdown as a precaution, though no threats were made to any school. Schenectady Police, with the department's special operations squad, New York State Police, the Schenectady County Sheriff's Office, the County's Street Crimes Task Force, and Niskayuna Police continued their search into the night for a suspect.
Around 9:41 p.m., officers found a suspect, made an arrest, and brought them in for questioning. The incident remains under investigation. Stick with NEWS10 as more information becomes available.
