‘Rightward drift’ results in insulting commentary | READER COMMENTARY
I realize that now The Baltimore Sun really wants to present “all sides” on its opinion pages, but sometimes the recent rightward drift under the new ownership is insulting to its readers.
Such is the case with the recent commentary by Sam Faddis, “The United States is divided, but not in the way you think” (May 6), which ended like this: “[Donald] Trump represents something very powerful and very real. It’s a populist movement. It is the American people.”
Well glory, glory, hallelujah, and heaven help us. Presenting “all sides” is fine, but The Sun should go back to printing the New York Times columnists and their intelligently written opinion columns.
