Here's everything Apple has announced during its iPad event.
M2 iPad Air with new 13-inch option
With this new model, Apple is upgrading the iPad with a better chip and a new 13-inch option. This is the first time the company has unveiled a bigger non-Pro iPad.
The M2 chip features an 8-core CPU — up to 15 percent faster than M1 — with advancements in both performance and efficiency cores and a 10-core GPU, delivering up to 35 percent faster graphics performance for the most demanding users. Combined with the CPU and GPU, the 16-core Neural Engine can process 15.8 trillion operations per second — 40 percent more than M1 — making iPad Air even more powerful when handling machine learning tasks.
The new iPad Air comes in the following colors:

- Purple
- Starlight
- Spacey Gray

iPad Pro with M4 chip and Ultra Retina XDR
With the M4 chip, Apple has added an OLED display for both 11-inch and 13-inch models. With that, the company unifies this lineup with the same screen technology, which was previously mixed with LCD and miniLED options. With that, the smaller iPad Pro is only 5.3mm, and the bigger iPad is 5.1mm thinner. They come in silver and space black.
The new iPad Pro offers the M4 chip with the second-generation 3nm technology. It has a powerful new CPU with 4 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores, with next-gen ML generators. Up to 50% faster CPU compared to M2. With a 10-core GPU, it offers Dynamic Caching and hardware ray tracing, with 4x faster performance than M2 iPad Pro. M4 can deliver the same performance as the M2 with just half the power. The Neural Engine comes with a 16-core design, with up to 38 trillion operations per second. 60x faster than Apple’s first Neural Engine.

Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro updates
One of the iPad event announcements was a new version of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro. Among the changes coming later this spring, users can take advantage of:
Final Cut Pro 2
- Live Multicam
- Final Cut Camera with options like white balance, ISO, and shutter speed
- Create or open projects from external storage
Logic Pro 2
- Session Players feature offers creators a personal, AI-driven backing band that responds to feedback
- ChromaGlow adds warmth to tracks
- Stem Splitter helps you extract and work with individual parts of a single audio recording.
New accessories
Apple announced a new rMagic Keyboard with function keys. It comes in two colors to match the new iPad Pro. There’s also a new Apple Pencil Pro with a new sensor to enable new squeeze gestures. A gyroscope helps change the brush by just rotating the pencil. It also features Find My capabilities.

iPad 10 is the cheapest iPad in the lineup
At the end of the event, Apple announced iPad 10 starts at $349. The company has removed the iPad 9 from the lineup.
