Tuesday brings final round of rain to Oregon, Washington
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The final round of Portland's wet weather saga comes to an end on Tuesday.
A few lingering light rain showers will continue to push through parts of Oregon and Washington on Tuesday. The best chance to see scattered rain showers is earlier in the day as clouds slowly clear and skies begin to dry by the evening. It's the showery start to the day that will keep temperatures below average for one final day. Temperatures will warm into the upper 50s and low 60s by the afternoon hours.
The temperature is on the rise as sunnier weather takes over across the Pacific Northwest. Afternoon highs will warm into the upper 60s by the middle of the week before jumping into the 80s. We can't rule out hitting 90° in Portland this weekend, too.
It's this latest round of sunny and dry weather that will make much of the Portland area go from spring to summer in a matter of days. The warmer and drier weather pattern will continue through the start of next week.
