Report: 27-year-old is expected to survive Tottenham’s summer clear-out
Football Insider have claimed that Yves Bissouma is expected to still be at Tottenham Hotspur next season.
Tottenham are expected to have a busy summer window, with various sources suggesting over recent weeks that there could be a mass exodus this summer.
That is something Ange Postecoglou himself spoke candidly about last week, with the Spurs boss insisting after the loss against Chelsea that big changes need to be made to the squad and that the club need players who would be better fits for his system (BBC Sport).
A few days ago, The Telegraph suggested that Bissouma’s name is on the chopping block this summer as the Lilywhites plan a summer revamp.
The report explained that while Tottenham are not actively trying to get rid of the Mali international, they will seriously consider any attractive proposal they receive for the midfielder.
Tottenham will keep Yves Bissouma this summer
However, this has now been contradicted by Football Insider, who say that while Postecoglou will oversee a major squad overhaul this summer, Bissouma is not likely to be among the players on their way out.
The report claims that the former Brighton man is expected to survive the axe, having been a regular in the Australian’s starting eleven this season.
Spurs Web Opinion
While I do not think Tottenham would be actively looking to sell the likes of Bissouma, Ben Davies and Richarlison this summer, I do think that the club would closely consider any decent offers they receive for those players.
