Rays: 8, White Sox: 2 - City Connect Streak Continues!
DeLuca hits his first Rays HR; Harold Ramirez goes 4-4 IN Rays’ win
Rays announced they would bring back the City Connect jerseys for today’s game against the White Sox. Why fix what isn’t broken, right?

Rays were able to get runners on in the 1st inning, but couldn’t produce any runs, BUT Josh Lowe is BACK BABY
In the 2nd inning, Rays were able to get the bases loaded with nobody out and Jonny DeLuca up to the plate.
Rays added another run with a Yandy Diaz groundout to score Ben Rortvedt and give the Rays a 3-0 lead after 2 innings!
White Sox got two runs back after former Ray Tommy Pham hit a 2 run HR
Rays quickly got the run back with Amed Rosario getting a lead off TRIPLE, and Harold Ramirez, as if he heard all off our concerns of him being in the lineup, quickly knocked Rosario in for the Rays 4th run of the night.
After a walk to Jose Caballero, that would be it for Chicago’s Mike Clevinger as the Rays knock out the 2nd opposing starter in a week!
Speaking of, the Rays starter, Tyler Alexander would also not go deep into the game, but it wasn’t for a poor performance. Perhaps due to a 3rd time through the order penalty? Alexander would let the first two runners reach, so maybe it was a short leash
Alexander’s line would be 4.0 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB and 7 Ks on 75 pitches.
And Cash would go to Erasmo Ramirez???
Yup, the usual white flag for Kevin Cash was now entrusted to hold a 2 run lead, with two runners on and nobody out. 1 pop out and 2 fly outs later, Erasmo and Rays escape unscathed.
In the bottom of the 5th inning, Harold Ramirez continued his defiance of the haters and lead off with a double. Ben Rortvedt singled Ramirez home and gave the Rays a 5-2 lead.
Jonny DeLuca quickly added on more, as he hit his first Rays HR!
105 MPH off the bat for a 401 ft 2 run HR!! Rays lead 7-2 after 5 innings.
Another run would come in the bottom of the 6th as, you guessed it, Harold Ramirez singled (his fourth hit of the day) and Jose Caballero hit an excuse-me-swinging bunt that was thrown away by Chicago’s Tim Hill.
That would be your final score as Erasmo Ramirez and Edwin Uceta closed out the rest of the game. Their combined line: 5.0 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, and 4 Ks on 56 (!) pitches.
FINAL: Rays - 8, White Sox - 2
Run the city connects back tomorrow?
