FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Monday!
We start the day off on a dry note, but we will see a few spotty showers working in from the south this afternoon around lunchtime. Not a washout, but expect those spotty showers to linger on-and-off the rest of the afternoon and evening. Highs top out in the lower 70s with just a light wind, and mainly cloudy skies.
Skies remain cloudy overnight, with only an isolated shower chance. Tuesday starts off mainly dry, for about the first half of the day. We'll then see our next frontal system arriving during the mid-afternoon and evening, bringing the threat for stronger thunderstorms.
The Storm Prediction Center does have our area under a 2-out-of-5 risk for severe storms, with the primary threats being hail and strong winds. We'll also see localized pockets of heavy rain. That all tapers briefly into early Wednesday morning.
We'll then see lots of dry time Wednesday, with highs warming into the lower 80s. That's out ahead of our next stronger storm system, which arrives Wednesday evening into early Thursday. Once again, the Storm Prediction Center has our area under a 2-out-of-5 risk for stronger storms.
Both are days we'll be watching closely as the storm systems approach.
We'll then start to clear up, briefly, on Thursday, with just a few isolated showers chances going into Friday.
