Anthony Edwards' 43-point masterpiece flipped Timberwolves-Nuggets series odds in Minnesota's favor after just one game
It only took one game for the Minnesota Timberwolves to convince oddsmakers they can eliminate the defending champions.
Minnesota entered its second-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets as an underdog to prevail in the best-of-seven series. After winning Game 1 on the road behind a 43-point masterclass from Anthony Edwards, the Wolves are now -120 favorites at BetMGM.
Denver went from -200 to win the series to +100, giving Nuggets bettors a little more value if they aren’t dissuaded by what they saw in the opener. There was similar movement at FanDuel, where the Wolves moved to -150 and the Nuggets are now +122.

Just because Minnesota jumped out to a 1-0 lead doesn’t mean oddsmakers like them to win every game, though. The Nuggets are still favorites to bounce back in Game 2, as they’re favored by 5.5 points with -225 on the moneyline.
Odds like the series to end in six games at +165, with +350 on specifically Minnesota winning 4-2.
