I transformed my front yard after tearing out the grass & weeds – 2 changes improved my space, fans say it’s ‘beautiful’
A GARDENING guru has given her front yard a “wow” factor after getting rid of overgrown weeds.
She also used two easy methods to transform her outdoor space for some majorly upgraded curb appeal.
The homeowner explained how she and her husband set out to elevate their front yard.
“We installed drip irrigation, painted everything, tore out most of the existing vegetation [and] weeds, and planted some shrubs, perennials, and annuals,” said Redditor 2sangblitz.
She was pleased with their progress – and it seemed the plants were as well.
“Overall, they all seem pretty happy, even the caladiums, which are getting way more sun than I thought they would when I planned it out in the early spring,” she said.
While she admitted that they still had a few more items to check off their home improvement list, they were “pretty proud” of their work.
That work certainly appeared to pay off as the front of their home went from overgrown with weeds and grass to ultra-glam.
The blossoming yard was now a colorful burst of reds, yellows, purples, and other bright shades.
Many readers were also impressed with their seedling success.
“So incredibly beautiful! Well done!” wrote one user.
“Beautiful! Reminds me of a house you’d see in Key West,” another user agreed.
Retail giant Home Depot sells a Dig landscape drip watering kit for $29.97 that is described as being ideal for watering flowers, bushes, and shrubs.
The system, which covers up to 150 square feet, can even be expanded.
The kit, made of UV-resistant materials, includes everything you need for complete installation.
The item saves water by delivering water right at the plant root. It also includes pressure-compensating drippers for a consistent flow.

She also gave an update on her blossoming yard.
“Lots of pollinators enjoying the flowers! But we are planning on a bit of grass in the backyard for the dogs,” she said.
Others were also in awe over the final look.
“This is absolutely gorgeous! Great job!” said one Redditor.
“Sweet! What a difference plants make!” another agreed.
“Beautiful. Great job. Good eye,” a third reader chimed in.
She turned her front yard into a blossoming burst of color[/caption]Yet another user had their own advice.
“Looks awesome, man. Don’t be afraid of putting the mulch extra thick to prevent those pesky weeds,” they said.
“Nothing I hate more than weeding, and since I mulched my beds extra thick – over five inches – I hardly get weeds anymore. Preen didn’t really do much for me as far as preventing them,” they added.
“Thanks for the suggestion! We probably do need to add more mulch. I go out there once a day or so and pull up any stragglers,” she replied.
