Nine hospitalized after crash involving ‘several vehicles’ on Sunrise Boulevard near Fort Lauderdale
Nine people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash late Saturday morning on Sunrise Boulevard near Fort Lauderdale, officials said.
Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue responded to the crash in the 2700 block of Sunrise Boulevard around 10:47 a.m., according to Battalion Chief Michael Kane. Paramedics transported nine people to the hospital.
The accident involved “several vehicles,” Kane said.
He said he received reports over the CAD system of a deputy being involved in the crash but could not confirm or provide information on the deputy’s status Saturday morning.
He did not know many details in the immediate aftermath, saying in a text that the incident is “still fluid.”
