Mum-of-11 slammed for making giant nacho bowl in a paddling pool – and trolls say it’s like eating out of a dog bowl
A MUM-of-11 has left people scratching their heads after showing off her unique approach to meal time with her bumper brood.
Alice Dougherty, from New York, has made a name for herself online, partly thanks to the interesting grub she whips up for her family – and her most recent concoction is no exception.
The al fresco grub left people divided online[/caption] The mum showed off the hefty recipe on social media[/caption]The mum took to social media to reveal paddling pool she filled with nachos and all the trimmings for her kids to dive into.
In the now viral video, Alicia can be seen kneeling besides a small blue paddling pool and pouring in 10 huge bags of tortilla chips into the pool first.
The mum then loaded up the chips with a layer of meat, lashings of melted orange cheese and an entire jug of salsa.
But the nachos weren’t even close to being finished yet – the mum still had loads more toppings to add.
Next came the four bags of grated cheese, olives, tomatoes and, of course, plenty of sour cream.
Once she’d finished adding all of the ingredients the paddling pool was full to the brim with the tasty food.
Alicia shared the video of her making it all on TikTok, along with the caption: “Cinco de Mayo pool nachos. Do olives belong on nachos?”
Her post caught the attention of plenty of other parents, who weren’t sure what to make of the poolside snack.
One commented on the clip: “Feels like a huge waste of food.”
A second said: “Why are they eating like dogs?”
And a third agreed: “It’s giving dog bowl.”
“WTF is this? I feel bad for those kids,” another wrote.
But others loved the quirky idea, and some even wanted to try it out for themselves.
“Now I wish I had a nacho pool,” one hungry social media user said.
Another agreed: “This looks so good, people just love to hate.”
“Imagine having this at a big block party or BBQ, love it,” another chimed in.
Meanwhile, others were just concerned that the plastic paddling pool wouldn’t be safe to eat from.
“You shouldn’t eat out of non food grade plastic,” one viewer pointed out.
