Dallas takes out the Clippers and Orlando takes a 3-1 lead over Cleveland.
In Friday’s Brotherhood Playoff Action, Dallas clinched its series against the Los Angeles Clippers 114-101 while Orlando moved to a 3-1 lead against Cleveland with a 103-96.
Paolo Banchero, still just 21, had 27 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Magic. Wendell Carter had 11 points, five rebounds and two assists.
Kyrie Irving had 30 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks for the Mavericks.
Amazingly, Irving scored 28 in the second half alone after hitting just 1-6 in the first half.
Rookie teammate Dereck Lively, coming off the bench since returning from injury and attending to his mother during her final days, had 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Mason Plumlee played briefly for L.A. but did not score.
On Saturday, Wendell Moore and the Minnesota Timberwolves will open a very challenging series against the Denver Nuggets. The defending champs are a very tough out and the T-Wolves are not particularly experienced in the playoffs.
