As Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is known for delivering exceptional vehicles and options for consumers to enjoy, Alfa Romeo brings their Italian jive to the table with their ever-popular Stelvio Veloce (pronounced vel-oh-chay) AWD.
Wrapped in Alfa Rosso Red, enjoying the Stelvio 5-passenger SUV is very easy. Sight-lines, curvatures and comfort, top the list in Grasso’s Garage as the Stelvio Veloce boasts 21-inch dark aluminum wheels, red brake calipers and a Vulcano Gloss Black body kit. Interior features included aluminum paddle shifters, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and red leather sports seats that were actually comfortable and cushy. These items were all included in our Veloce tester while LED lights, dual-dark exhaust tips, dual-capped gloss mirrors, dual-pane sunroof were all standard features.
Powered by the ever-popular 2.0L Inline 4 Turbo Engine providing 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque, the Stelvio Veloce AWD has no problem with getting up and going. The Stelvio offers 5 different models with the base model, Stelvio Sprint which starts at $45K and is their only 2WD version which utilizes the same engine, or the top model the Stelvio Quadrifoglio Carbon, which starts at $93K and offers a potent 2.9L V6 Twin Turbo engine offering 505 horsepower. For my long time readers, you remember when we tested that exact model back in 2019; I can still remember that exhaust rumble and rasp to this day.
With a base price of just under $50K, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Veloce really shows off nicely and does a great job of delivering “priced-right” features to the end user. As FCA, and parent company, Stellantis, is known for excellent comfort and design, the Stelvio is nothing short of excellence with an Italian Stallion-like twist.
